In 2018, the Championship Conference of IIMUN took place at The Retreat Hotel and Convention Centre, Madh Island, Mumbai where the entire property was rented out for a period of 3 nights & 4 days.

The Chief Guest for the inaugural Ceremony of this Conference was H.E Shri Pranab Mukherjee (Former President of India) & other noted luminaries and dignitaries who attended the conference were Ms. Kimberley Mann (Chief of Education Outreach in the United Nations Department of Public Information, New York), Vice Admiral Girish Luthra (Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Western Naval Command), Padma Shri Kailash Kher (Bollywood Singer), Mr. Anil Swarup (Former Education, Coal & Labour Secretary for the Government of India) Mr. Vijender Singh (Olympic medallist, Actor), Mr. Ali Zafar (Singer, Actor and Speaker), Mr. Raghav Chadha (National Treasurer & National Spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party), Ms. Lakshmi Pratury (Founder & CEO of INK), a dance performance by the VICTORY Group (Shiamak Davar's Dance Team) and the TEENAGER's Crew (Participants of India's Got Talent 7) received standing ovations amongst the many performances that were witnessed by the audience.

The conference saw participation from approximately 1265 delegates from 89 schools spread across 70 cities..
