The Championship Conference - Independence Day Edition of India's International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.) took place from the 15th-18th of August, 2019 at the Aamby Valley City. The conference saw the participation of 1,150 young minds from across 100+ institutions in India as well as international representation from countries such as Nepal, South Africa, Mexico, et cetera & adopted the theme - the idea of India.
A few of the committees that were simulated at this years conference were Parliament of the Worlds Religions, Standing Committee & Mauryan Empire whilst some of the topics that the students deliberated over included Setting up a centralized empire in Pataliputra through the aid of Arthashastra, Maintaining the integrity of the four pillars of the democracy & Freedom of Hindustan.
In the evening hours, leading luminaries from different walks of life including Ms. Ileana D Cruz, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Mr. Nadir Godrej, Dr. Jamshed Bharucha, Amb. Prakash Shah, Mr. Subrata Roy, Gaur Gopal Das, Lt. Gen. Harinder Singh, Dr. Subramanian Swamy, Mr. Amit Malviya, Mr. Nalin Kohli, Ambassadors from various countries apart from a galaxy of diverse stars such as Ms. Gauhar Khan, Mr. Arjun Bijlani, Ms. Isha Koppikar, Ms. Richa Chadda, Ms. Sunny Leone amongst many others came in and engaged with the students.
The students were entertained by various performances from Mr. Shantanu Mukherjee, Ms. Neeti Mohan, Mr. Lesle Lewis, Mr. Jubin Nautiyal, Mr. Ankush Bhardwaj and various other troupes who depicted India through song and dance. The Ninth Edition of the Championship Conference was moderated by funny man- Cyrus Broacha & Television Celebrities such as Mr. Nakuul Mehta, Ms. Riddhi Dogra and Mr. Sahil Salathia across the 4 days.
