About

The Digital Flagship Conference 4.0 of India’s International Movement to Unite Nations took place from the 13th to 15th of May 2022 on our indigenously made virtual platform that hosted 900+ students from over 100 institutions spread across 70 cities of India and 25 countries world over. The inauguration ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Nakuul Mehta, Television Actor, Mr Karan Thapar, Indian Journalist & Author, Mr Rishabh Shah, Founder-President of I.I.M.U.N. & Mr Akull, Singer & Composer.

The delegates arbitrated from a selection of 15 committees such as the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations Security Council, the World Economic Forum, the World War Three Cabinet etc. Furthermore, taking forward the Organization’s Motto- Uniting the World in the Indian Way, the Conference saw committees like the Mumbai Climate Summit, Ashoka’s Court, the Ramayana Cabinet as well as the Prime Minister’s Special Summit. From comprehending the Arthashastra to understanding the real causes and effects of the World Wars, the delegates are always encouraged to think outside the box.

The Inauguration Ceremony of this conference bagan with a poem recital by Television Celebrity, Nakuul Mehta. This was followed by a specially curated performance that was delivered by Penn Masala, the world's first and premier South Asian a-cappella group, specializing in the fusion of Bollywood and pop- culture music. Moving forward, we hosted a conversation between Senior Indian Journalist, Mr Karan Thapar and Deputy President of the Organization, Mr. Abhishek Dhawan - this conversation revolved around Journalism, the role of print & social media as well as the future and scope for budding journalists. The next segment saw our very own Founder and President, Mr. Rishabh Shah addressing the students at length with a special message asking all to carry the message of Vasudeva Kutumbakam forward and urged them to be Indian at heart and International in spirit. This was followed by a lively interaction between Rishabh Sir and the student. To conclude the ceremony, the delegates sang along to the tunes of Akull who performed his popular songs live for the students!

On the 14th of May, the second day of the conference, the delegates first interacted with one another in a lobbying session to understand each other’s stance and formulate blocs followed by which they moved into formal debate sessions in their respective councils. Some of the topics that were discussed at this conference included “Reforms of the United Nations”, “Introduction of Crypt currency as a legal tender”, “Learning’s from Arthashastra to solve the Kashmir dispute” & “The Lanka War” to name a few. Post the committee sessions, the delegates indulged in a Socials evening where they danced and sang to the beats of Bollywood music presented by DJ Meet. A bigger highlight of this evening was the Midnight Crisis Committee session which took place for 3 hours where the skill sets of a certain set of students from across all the committees were put to test and they were given a hypothetical scenario to resolve.

On the 15th of May, the third and the final day, the delegates started their morning at sunrise with a recuperative session of Yoga conducted by Anastasiia Pavlova, an international yoga teacher who has hosted various yoga tours in India and abroad. Following this energizing session, the delegates were divided into their respective committee rooms where they took over the reins of many fruitful deliberations. With yet another day of brainstorming new ideas, the committees finally voted upon the introduced declarations and successfully wrapped up their countless days of hard work. The delegates formally ended the discussions after receiving feedback from the Presiding officers as well as from their fellow delegates. The Concourse concluded with the winners of the Committees being announced in the Auditorium as the joyous praises of the audience cheered them on in the closing ceremony of the conference.

The entire three-day Concourse was a jarring event that saw the participation of Young India who interchanged ideas, thoughts and expressions, thereby enhancing each other culturally as well as politically. All in all, the Flagship Conference 4.0 was a true representation of the Organizations’ beliefs and was an epitome in commemorating a Decade of I.I.M.U.N.
