The 13th Championship Conference of India's International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.) held from August 15th to 18th, 2024, at the iconic Aamby Valley City, was a resounding success, drawing over 3,000 brightest young minds from 450+ institutions across 180 cities in India and 28 countries internationally.

The conference featured an impressive roster of distinguished speakers, including renowned sports personalities Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, and P.T. Usha, Business Leaders & industrialists such as Mr. Nadir Godrej, Mr. Ajay Piramal & Mr. Madhur Bajaj. Students also got the opportunity to celebrate Independence Day of India alongside Former Chiefs of the Armed Forces, namely- Gen. Ved Prakash Malik, Admiral Robin Kumar Dhowan & ACM Pradeep Vasant Naik. The gathering was also graced by the presence of the Current Chief of Indian Navy- Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, spiritual leader Gurudev Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Bollywood personalities Boman Irani, Subhash Ghai, and a highlight segment that saw a conversation between India’s Finest Statesman, Author and Chairman of I.I.M.U.N.’s Advisory Board- Dr Shashi Tharoor in conversation Former Head of States- H.E Rosalia Arteaga & H.E. Anand Satyanand and other international luminaries- Ms. Rangina Hamdini and Ms. Priyanca Radhakrishnan. Their insights and experiences enriched the conference, inspiring delegates to become global citizens and agents of positive change. It was expertly moderated by the charismatic Cyrus Broacha, alongside popular television celebrities like Nakuul Mehta, Riddhi Dogra, Ravi Dubey, Kunal Vijaykar, Shruti Seth, and Sahil Salathia.

The evening was kick-started by a panel discussionIn addition to the student delegates, over 200 educators from around the world participated in the conference. On the second and third days, these educators had a separate itinerary, including sessions with guests like Boman Irani, Shabana Azmi, P.S. Raghavan, A.S. Kiran Kumar, and Chef Pankaj Bhadouria. During these sessions, numerous discussions ranging from the policy reforms in the education space to the importance of inclusion of vocational studies in curriculum took place.

On the second and third days, delegates participated in committee sessions where they discussed topics from ‘Exploring environmental sustainability taking lessons from Indian scriptures’ to ‘The question of horizontal reservation for transgender people in India’ & ‘Discussing frameworks to reduce the carbon footprint of the Olympic Games’ to ‘Analysing the threat of cyber warfare in the digital age’. The diverse range of participants and the thought-provoking discussions fostered a spirit of international understanding and cooperation. The conference was further enriched by the presence of the organisation's Academic Advisory Council, comprised of esteemed individuals such as Ambassador PS Raghavan, author Amish Tripathi, and Ambassadors JN Misra, Pankaj Saran, and Anil Trigunayat, who brought their wealth of experience and knowledge to the event.

The evenings were a vibrant spectacle of cultural performances. Talented artists such as Shantanu Mukherjee, Amaal Malik, Leslee Lewis, Azeem Banatwalla, MJ 5, Illuminati, and other troupes captivated the audience with their mesmerising songs and dances, showcasing the rich diversity of Indian culture.

The Championship Conference of I.I.M.U.N. served as a platform for young people to connect, learn, and collaborate on global issues. As the future leaders of the world, these delegates are poised to make a significant impact on shaping a better tomorrow.
