I.I.M.U.N. puts together three-day conferences to foster glocal citizenship- the Indian way, among adolescents. The inaugural day is a ceremony featuring eminent speakers interspersed by cultural elements such as Indian traditional music and dance. Speakers have included various Union Ministers, Chief Ministers & Governors, Cinema icons, academics, and ambassadors amongst others. The subsequent days involve students engaging in activities such as Yoga and Ayurveda, followed by them being divided into various committees, role-playing leaders, and engaging in discussions to solve current geopolitical, environmental, and cultural problems through an Indian lens.
Students are then requested to adopt one of our three actionable goals (plant a tree, educate someone, feed someone) before receiving a certificate.
Over the past thirteen years, I.I.M.U.N. has spread the concept of this 3-day educational extravaganza from merely four cities to over 220 cities across India, and in the year 2024-2025, I.I.M.U.N. conferences will be organized in 108+ select cities across India, impacting lakhs of students. Like everything else at I.I.M.U.N., all of this will be done by and managed by a team of 15-22-year-olds. Everything from promoting this in different schools to getting presiding officers to training students and putting together an inter-school event that your city remembers for years to come will be done by Team I.I.M.U.N.
